The Doctor, the Patient and the Computer

Over at The Health Care Blog Lisa Gaultieri, an Adjunct Clinical Professor in the Health Communication Program at Tufts University School of Medicine observes that, too often, the computer becomes a barrier between the clinician and the patient. She offers insight into how to integrate a laptop into the conversation.

I hear this all the time. Sometimes things become so systematized that the patient is taken out of the equation altogether. Some new devices like Cardiac Outpatient Telemetry that utilizes mobile technology relieve any kind of necessary conversation btwn staff and patient.

thats a good title but these 3 are the best and worst in most of the cases. hee hee ehee. Its not only the computer. sometimes the doctor too become the barrier.
